How Much Does It Cost?
Product + Installation = Total Cost

Product Cost

$0.49 to $4.99/sq. ft.
The price of vinyl is in large part based on:

Overall thickness: This starts at about 50 mils, and can exceed 100 mils.

Wear layer thickness: This starts at 10 mils and ranges up to 20 mils.

Wear layer type: Vinyl no-wax is the least costly wear layer and offers basic protection. Urethane is slightly more expensive but offers greater scratch and stain protection. Enhanced urethane offers the maximum amount of protection and is priced above regular urethane.

Design quality: Expect to pay more for better quality printing, more realistic designs and embossed textures. For example, embossed printing that replicates ceramic tile grout's look and feel will cost more than just a visual interpretation.

Texture and embossing: Not all vinyl floors have a realistic surface texture or feel. Better vinyl sheet floors will look and feel more like the original material.

Installation Cost

$0.75 to $2.00/sq. ft.
Expect to pay more for full spread installations. In general, vinyl sheet installation costs are more economical than most other floor categories. Costs can vary greatly, based on geography (labor rates) as well as subfloor preparation needs. Armstrong recommends that you contact an Armstrong Certified Installer to provide you with an accurate installed cost estimate.
